"Nakausap namin na parang rescue sa taga-Red Cross, 'yun 'yung sabi parang dead on the spot and then 'yung bata nakita na gumagapang," Alinas recounted.
"Good thing, 'yung bata himala na nabuhay. Thank you, nagtira si Lord kahit baby man lang," she added, acknowledging the emotional weight of losing loved ones while holding on to the life of the child.
Alinas also voiced the family’s desire for justice and accountability over the fatal incident. They are calling for an investigation to ensure that those responsible are held accountable, and that such a tragedy does not happen again.
“Siyempre, ang gusto naming mangyari ay mapanagot, di na maulit. Kasi isipin mo magbabakasyon lang, magkakausap pa kami kagabi, masaya, tapos ngayon bubungad. Sana managot ang dapat managot," she said.
As the investigation unfolds, the family continues to grieve their loss while holding on to the miracle that one life was spared.
