A tragic accident claimed the life of 17-year-old Raymart Manalo on Good Friday after he was el5ctrocuted while attempting to plug a charger into an extension cord.

The incident occurred at their home and was reported by Brigada News Philippines.

According to his father, Arnel Manalo, Raymart accidentally touched one of the metal prongs while plugging in the device.

The shock caused him to jolt, and in the process, a nearby pitcher on the table was knocked over, spilling water onto the floor.

The water worsened the situation as Raymart collapsed and lay in the puddle, intensifying the electrical current that passed through his body.

A sibling, witnessing the incident, bravely tried to help.

Though momentarily shocked as well, they managed to pull away and quickly unplug the charger, stopping further harm.

The family immediately rushed Raymart to the hospital, where medical professionals tried to revive him.

Sadly, their efforts were unsuccessful, and the young man was pronounced dead.

His mother, Rosel Manalo, expressed her devastation, calling Raymart her firstborn.

She said that he was playing with his siblings before the tragic incident happened.

The grief-stricken family is now left to mourn the sudden and heartbreaking loss of a beloved son and brother.
