A fire broke out and devastated the residents of Pier, Manila, at midnight.
The fire lasted for almost seven hours before it was finally controlled, according to a report by TV5's 'Frontline Express.'
The Bureau of Fire Protection said that nearly 300 families were affected by the incident.
As of now, the victims are still staying along the roadside since there has been no evacuation center assigned for them.

The reason behind the fire incident is still under investigation.
In another fire incident, around 500 houses were completely destroyed by fire in Barangay 123, Tondo, Manila.
The incident was raised to Task Force Charlie, according to a report by TV5's 'Frontline Pilipinas.'
About 1,500 families were affected, but many residents helped one another to save what they could.
The fire grew quickly due to strong winds and the houses being made of light materials.
Firefighters also said that putting out the fire was difficult because of the lack of a nearby water source.
The blaze was finally controlled around 7:00 AM. The Bureau of Fire Protection listed possible causes, including an unattended candle and faulty electrical wiring.
The estimated damage reached 10 million pesos. For now, the affected residents are staying in the barangay’s covered court.
