The municipal hall of Buluan, Maguindanao del Sur, was recently involved in a suspected politically motivated attack.

According to a report by GMA 7's '24 Oras Weekend,' two men on a motorcycle allegedly threw three explosives in front of the municipal building.

"Under investigation, tinutukoy pa ng ating explosive unit kung ano 'yung ginamit na pampasabog pero allegedly, tatlo (grenade) ang nasa report na pampasabog," said P/LTCOL. JOPY VENTURA SPOKESPERSON, PRO-BAR.

The blast caused a vehicle to catch fire and left the driver injured on his back, legs, and arms.

Former governor "Toto" Mangudadatu said the injured driver was able to identify the suspects who threw the explosives.

"Walang iba kundi guluhin 'yung ano sa election, alam nila na hindi naman sila mananalo...at saka talagang i-jujustify nila na ilipat 'yong canvassing. Hindi naman pwedeng basta-bastang ilabas, gusto nilang i-justify 'yong COMELEC control e," said former governor, "TOTO" MANGUDADATU.

"Sa ngayon, prepared na ang ating tropa para sa security na nilatag para sa upcoming election. Patuloy pa rin ang ginagawa nating monitoring at pagbabantay sa mga lugar na 'yan kung ano man 'yung mga banta," Ventura said despite the incident.
