Two Korean tourists were robbed of ₱350,000 and $90 in cash after thieves took advantage of an unguarded moment during their visit to Cebu City.

According to a report from GMA Regional TV, the incident took place on Saturday while the tourists were sightseeing in Barangay Busay.
The two had set their bags down as they became occupied with taking photographs of the scenic area.
Shortly after, a man carrying a bag approached the area where the tourists had left their belongings.

Seizing the opportunity, the suspect swiftly grabbed one of the tourists' bags and quickly fled the scene.
The Cebu City Police reported that the man was not acting alone. He had seven accomplices who helped him escape. The group fled using two taxis, based on the initial investigation.

A man at the roadside then signaled for him to stop, and when he did, he was shot by the perpetrator. The gunman immediately fled the scene, but authorities already have a person of interest.
