The emotional moment captured the raw bond between mother and daughter, as the child proudly showed off her achievement through the metal bars separating them.

The mother, visibly emotional, reached out her hand through the bars, longing to touch her daughter, while the little girl smiled and stood close, clearly eager to share the joy of her special day.

Despite the physical barrier, their love was palpable.

According to a report by CDN Digital, the touching video was filmed by the girl’s aunt, Relyn Egos.

She shared that it was the mother’s heartfelt wish to witness her daughter’s graduation moment—even from behind bars.

To honor this request, the family made sure the little girl went straight to the facility after the ceremony.

Relyn explained that they understood how important this milestone was for both mother and daughter.

“[Sige] intawon trapo sa luha ang inahan gituman namo ang iyang request nga human sa graduation ipa [diretso] sa iya nakasuot pag toga (Nagpupunas ng luha ang ina. Tinupad namin ang request niya na pagkatapos ng graduation, deretso sa kanya na nakasuot pa ng toga),” she said.

Still in Negros Occidental, a 53-year-old woman died and two others were injured after being hit by a pickup truck while jogging in Barangay Tangub, Bacolod City. The incident occurred when the group of women briefly stopped their jog to take photographs, leading to the collision with the vehicle. The pickup truck driver, Fernando Oquina, stated that he did not see the women on the road prior to the collision. The family of the victim is determined to file a case.

Meanwhile in other news, a barangay chairman in Sta. Maria, Pangasinan died after he was shot but a still unknown gunman. According to the report of Balitanghali of GMA Integrated News, the victim was driving a tricycle. A man at the roadside then signaled for him to stop, and when he did, he was shot by the perpetrator. The gunman immediately fled the scene, but authorities already have a person of interest.
