A man was taken into custody for allegedly abusing his cousin back in 2022.

In a video shared by GMA 7's 'SAKSI' courtesy of PNP Maritime Group, an officer went undercover to confirm the identity of the accused suspect.

Authorities successfully arrested the suspect, who committed the crime in Leyte but managed to stay in hiding for 3 years.

Reports say the suspect was a barangay tanod involved in the buy and sell of fighting male chickens, which helped him evade arrest for a long time.

According to police investigations, the suspect and victim are cousins.

In an exclusive report of Emil Sumangil, the alleged suspect was able to do the crime whenever their grandmother would leave the victim to the alleged suspect.

As it turned out, the alleged suspect used those moments as a chance to take advantage of his minor cousin.

Unfortunately, the victim got empregnate and now has a 2-year-old child.

The alleged suspect denied the accusations against him, but admitted that they fell in love with each other.

He said they had a relationship and that his minor cousin fell in love with him.
