The fire was put to first alarm and was declared out at around 2:30 AM. Not fewer than four firetrucks responded to the fire.

According to the BFP, responding and going to the fire scene became difficult because of the narrow streets.

FSPT. Josephus Franco Alburo, BFP Las Piñas, said that the mother and her 2 children were together and sleeping in the mezzanine.

It fell down the second floor, while the father was found near the kitchen.

They also added that faulty electrical wiring or appliances that overheated might've caused the fire.
