A 22-year-old man tragically lost his life after allegedly being assaulted by a group of men during a violent encounter in Malabon, according to a report by TV Patrol of ABS-CBN.

Authorities said that the incident began when two groups had an altercation.
While four members of the victim's group were able to flee the scene, the victim was left behind and caught by the other group.
The attackers allegedly pinned the victim's head against a gate before striking him with a metal pipe.

The brutality of the assault left the victim with severe injuries.
According to Police Captain Roger Perez, commander of Police Substation 3 of the Malabon Police, the cause of death was determined to be blunt force trauma to the head.
The victim’s family spoke out, saying the group was initially led to believe that they were meeting to settle the misunderstanding.
Instead, they claim it was a setup that ended in a violent attack.
"They were made to believe there would be reconciliation, but instead, they were assaulted,” a family member said.
Authorities are currently conducting a follow-up investigation to identify and apprehend those responsible for the deadly assault.
The victim's family is calling for justice, expressing grief over the sudden loss of their loved one and urging police to hold the perpetrators accountable.

According to the report of Balitanghali of GMA Integrated News, the victim was driving a tricycle. A man at the roadside then signaled for him to stop, and when he did, he was shot by the perpetrator. The gunman immediately fled the scene, but authorities already have a person of interest.
