The total value of the missing items—including luxury goods and cash—is estimated to be around P85 million.

The Chinese businessman's sibling questioned the validity of the arrest, claiming the name on the warrant was spelled differently and might refer to another person.

“They are same name but the people is different person,” he said.

He also revealed that officers allegedly demanded money in exchange for releasing his sibling, but the family refused to comply.

Despite their refusal, the detained individual was eventually released.

The family, however, is not letting the matter go quietly.

About P12 million was already allegedly recovered from the alleged erring officers, but the latter said that it was a "bribe."

They are preparing to file formal charges against the officers allegedly responsible for the robbery.
