The victim, identified as Wilmer Villarosa, succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds after he was fired upon by two suspects in a subdivision in Barangay Ungka Dos late Thursday evening.

Security footage from a closed-circuit television system captured the moments leading up to the fatal shooting.

The footage reportedly shows Villarosa engaged in a conversation with two other men in front of a parked vehicle. As Villarosa turned to walk away, the two individuals suddenly opened fire on him.

Initial reports indicate that the two suspects in the shooting have been identified as brothers. Following the attack, the suspects fled the scene in a sports utility vehicle (SUV).

However, their escape was short-lived as law enforcement authorities swiftly mobilized and apprehended them at a checkpoint.

Villarosa was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment. Despite the efforts of medical professionals, he was declared dead on arrival due to the severity of his injuries sustained in the shooting.

The incident has prompted a swift response from local law enforcement agencies, who have launched a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

While the investigation is still in its early stages, authorities have indicated that the two arrested suspects are expected to face formal charges in connection with Villarosa's death.
