A group of customers has issued an apology to The Fifth, a coffee shop in Taytay, after bombarding it with negative reviews despite spending over four hours at the café.

In a now-unavailable statement posted on Facebook, Purpose Venture Young Professionals expressed regret over the effect their reviews had on The Fifth.
They admitted that their approach was "not the most appropriate or constructive way" to share their concerns.
"As a Christian organization, we are held to a higher standard of conduct, and we recognize that our actions did not reflect the values of humility, respect, and kindness that we strive to uphold. We deeply regret any offense we have caused and take full responsibility for this misstep," the statement read.

"As a practical application of our sincere apology, we have agreed and directed everyone in our group to delete all the reviews posted on The FIFTH Coffee's page."
Describing the situation as "an isolated incident," Purpose Venture also extended their apology to other Christian organizations and the wider community. They expressed their desire "to rebuild trust with The Fifth Coffee."
The Fifth, in response, addressed the surge of negative reviews on their Facebook page. Some Purpose Venture members had claimed they were asked to leave and that not all of their orders were served.

Meanwhile, a female graduating criminology working student who works as a service crew of a large fast food chain died after her motorcycle collided with a pickup. Another female service crew, who was backriding on the motorcycle was brought to the hospital, and is recovering from fractures. The 26-year-old victim was declared dead on arrival at the hospital. Investigation showed that the pickup driven by a 23-year-old bank teller counterflowed.
In other news, an elderly man died after he and his wife were ambushed while travelling aboard their pickup truck along a national highway in Buluan, Maguindanao del Sur. According to a report by GMA Regional TV News, the 77-year-old male died while his 66-year-old wife suffered injuries. Reports also state that the 77-year-old male was identified as a manager at an agri-machinery company. Investigators say that the two were tailed by motorcycle-riding gunmen and when they got to a certain, they opened fire, fatally injuring the 77-year-old male and inflicting injuries to his wife.
