Their suspicions were confirmed upon reviewing the homeowners association’s CCTV footage.

The footage clearly showed an individual, wearing a red jacket, entering the residence.

“Pagkita namin mayroon ngang naka-pulang jacket na pumasok doon sa bahay namin tapos nakita nga namin nakaipit 'yung tablet sa bandang tiyan tapos hawak niya sa kaliwa niya 'yung cellphone na kinuha,” Adamos stated.

The stolen gadgets, which were still being paid off, amounted to nearly P40,000.

The incident has caused significant distress to the family, particularly due to the fact that the items were taken from beneath the bed of their mother, who is bedridden with a brain tumor.

The incident was immediately reported to the barangay officials. Kristine Esparas, the Barangay Peace and Order head, confirmed that the individual captured on CCTV was not a resident of the area.

Police are now investigating a person of interest as their investigation continues. The family, and the local community are hoping for a quick resolution to this crime.
