A 30-year-old truck helper was discovered lifeless by his companions on the roadside in Pigcawayan, North Cotabato, on the morning of March 30.

The victim, identified as Glen Poras, was reportedly waiting for a roro vessel when the tragic incident occurred.
According to his brother, 49-year-old Mario Poras, who was also working as a truck helper, Glen had consumed an energy drink before going to sleep the night before.
The next morning, at around 6 a.m., Mario attempted to wake him up to discuss the payment for the roro transport.

However, he was shocked to find that his brother was already unresponsive.
The group had been traveling in a closed van and had stopped to wait for the roro that would take them to their next destination.
Authorities launched an investigation into Glen's sudden death but found no signs of foul play.
Further examination revealed that Glen had pre-existing heart problems, which may have contributed to his untimely passing.
Officials believe that his health condition, combined with possible exhaustion from work, could have been the cause of his sudden death.

In other news, an elderly man died after he and his wife were ambushed while travelling aboard their pickup truck along a national highway in Buluan, Maguindanao del Sur. According to a report by GMA Regional TV News, the 77-year-old male died while his 66-year-old wife suffered injuries. Reports also state that the 77-year-old male was identified as a manager at an agri-machinery company. Investigators say that the two were tailed by motorcycle-riding gunmen and when they got to a certain, they opened fire, fatally injuring the 77-year-old male and inflicting injuries to his wife.
