The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has imposed a 90-day suspension on the driver’s licenses of both the SUV driver and one of the motorcycle riders involved in the Antipolo City road rage incident that escalated into a shooting.

In a statement on Monday, the LTO confirmed that the temporary suspension was enforced while the agency continues its investigation into the case.
“The [show cause order] issued to the SUV driver and one of the motorcycle riders stated that their driver’s licenses were suspended for 90 days pending the result of the investigation, while the SUV and motorcycle were placed under alarm,” the agency stated.
The LTO’s Intelligence and Investigation Division is conducting a thorough probe to determine the sequence of events that led to the altercation and eventual gunfire.

LTO chief Assistant Secretary Vigor Mendoza II emphasized that the findings of the investigation will determine the penalties that may be imposed, including the potential revocation of their licenses.
"Nakakalungkot ang ganitong pangyayari na hindi na natin binibigyan ng dignidad ang ating mga sarili, na talo pa natin ang mga bata na magsusuntukan agad sa gitna ng kalsada dahil sa bagay na puwede namang pagpasensyahan,” Mendoza remarked.
He also reminded motorists to exercise caution and patience while on the road.
“Muli ay nagpapa-alala tayo sa ating mga kababayang motorista na maging maingat, maging responsible at magbaon ng napakraming pasensya kapag nasa kalsada. Marami na tayong naparusahan dahil sa road rage at marami na ang nasira ang buhay dahil sa road rage,” he said.

Meanwhile, a female graduating criminology working student who works as a service crew of a large fast food chain died after her motorcycle collided with a pickup. Another female service crew, who was backriding on the motorcycle was brought to the hospital, and is recovering from fractures. The 26-year-old victim was declared dead on arrival at the hospital. Investigation showed that the pickup driven by a 23-year-old bank teller counterflowed.
In other news, an elderly man died after he and his wife were ambushed while travelling aboard their pickup truck along a national highway in Buluan, Maguindanao del Sur. According to a report by GMA Regional TV News, the 77-year-old male died while his 66-year-old wife suffered injuries.
