A 14-year-old motorcycle rider lost his life after crashing into an Asian Utility Vehicle (AUV) on Kennon Road in Tuba, Benguet.

The accident, reported by Frontline Pilipinas, occurred while the young rider and his two classmates were on their way home.
The victim, identified as Robinson Simsim, was driving the motorcycle with his classmates as passengers when they collided with the AUV.
None of them were wearing helmets at the time of the accident.

Simsim was immediately rushed to the hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.
His two classmates remain confined and under medical care.
The victim’s father was emotional as he recounted how his son would always come home after school.
The moment he did not return that day, his father said he already felt anxious and feared the worst.
The family is currently deliberating on whether to pursue legal action against the driver of the AUV.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
This tragic incident highlights the importance of wearing protective gear while riding motorcycles, especially for minors.

Meanwhile, a female graduating criminology working student who works as a service crew of a large fast food chain died after her motorcycle collided with a pickup. Another female service crew, who was backriding on the motorcycle was brought to the hospital, and is recovering from fractures. The 26-year-old victim was declared dead on arrival at the hospital. Investigation showed that the pickup driven by a 23-year-old bank teller counterflowed.
In other news, an elderly man died after he and his wife were ambushed while travelling aboard their pickup truck along a national highway in Buluan, Maguindanao del Sur. According to a report by GMA Regional TV News, the 77-year-old male died while his 66-year-old wife suffered injuries. Reports also state that the 77-year-old male was identified as a manager at an agri-machinery company. Investigators say that the two were tailed by motorcycle-riding gunmen and when they got to a certain, they opened fire, fatally injuring the 77-year-old male and inflicting injuries to his wife.
