A massive fire erupted in Barangay Pakna-an, Mandaue City, Cebu, affecting two sitios.
Firefighters immediately rushed to the scene to put out the blaze, but one firetruck unfortunately met an accident.
In a dashcam video shared by TV 5's 'Frontline Pilipinas,' a firetruck speeding to the scene accidentally ran over a motorcycle rider.
The traffic light was on stop at the time, but due to the wailing siren and the urgency of the situation, the firetruck continued straight ahead.

According to the report, the rider tried to hit the brakes, but he unfortunately fell, resulting in the rider being rolled over by the firetruck.
In an interview, the family of the deceased rider who was identified as Juan Paulo Mindo, 23 years old, was ready to pursue filing legal charges against the firetruck driver.
They pointed out that the truck driver should've been more careful and made sure nobody was on its way. Additionally, the sister of the victim said there were no casualties in the fire but there was one from a road accident.
