Filipino rapper Omar Baliw filed a criminal case against Pastor Apollo Quiboloy.
Along with his legal counsel, Omar filed a copyright infringement case against Quiboloy.
It can be recalled that Omar's song “K&B” was used and modified during Quiboloy's proclamation rally held in Pasig City.
According to Omar Baliw's legal counsel, there was only one virtual meeting with Quiboloy's camp regarding the incident, but they never heard from them again.

This was the reason why Omar's camp decided to file a legal complaint against Quiboloy.
Omar specifically said he was disappointed in the unauthorized usage of his song.

In a previous report by KAMI, Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy’s lawyer, Atty. Israelito Torreon has issued a statement as regards the surrender of the preacher yesterday, September 8, 2024 - In a video posted on SMNI News socmed page, Atty. Torreon said Pastor Quiboloy “decided to submit himself to the folds of the law” because he can’t bear to see that the rights of his followers are already “being trampled upon.” He then reiterated that the preacher surrendered and was not arrested as some sectors would like others to believe. The lawyer then issued an appeal regarding the fake news about the supposed “arrest” of Pastor Quiboloy.
Additionally, Pastor Apollo Quiboloy was rushed to the Philippine Heart Center after experiencing chest pain and an irregular heartbeat. The Philippine National Police confirmed that he was brought to the hospital from the PNP Custodial Center in Camp Crame for immediate medical attention. Authorities continue to monitor Quiboloy while he receives treatment, ensuring his safety. He is currently facing charges of qualified human tr*fficking and s3xual abuse, but he has strongly denied the accusations, claiming they are part of a smear campaign against him.
