A newborn baby boy was found abandoned inside a paper bag in Lanzona Subdivision, Matina Aplaya, Davao City.

The baby, who still had his umbilical cord attached, was discovered by a woman who heard his cries, according to a report from GMA Regional TV.
Authorities confirmed that along with the baby, a handwritten note from his parents was found, pleading for whoever discovered him to provide him with love and care.
The letter also contained a specific request regarding his name.

The note read:
“Name: Brian Drake. Please treat him with love and care just like your own. Provide him something that he needs because for now we can’t afford to raise him. Please don’t change his name. Sorry for passing our responsibility to yours. God bless.”
The baby, who weighed 2.9 kilos, was immediately brought to the hospital for medical care.
Local authorities and social welfare officers are now looking into the circumstances surrounding the abandonment, as well as efforts to ensure the infant's well-being and future.
While the parents’ identity remains unknown, the emotional note has touched the hearts of many, shedding light on their struggle and desperation.
For now, baby Brian Drake is receiving the care and attention he needs, while authorities work on securing a safe and loving home for him.
