Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group spokesperson, Police Lt. Wallen Mae Arancillo, identified the suspect only as “Jaja.”

She was apprehended during an entrapment operation conducted at her residence on Wednesday, March 12.

The operation was launched after the Regional Anti-Cyber Crime Unit – Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (RACU-BAR) discovered her Facebook posts falsely claiming to be a dentist.

She had been advertising various dental services, including braces installation, for just P1,000.

Speaking at Camp Crame in Quezon City, Arancillo explained that the amount covered materials, labor, and cleaning.

She also revealed that “Jaja” arranged client appointments online and instructed them to meet at her home, where the procedures were performed.

To verify the suspect’s credentials, RACU-BAR coordinated with the Philippine Dental Association, which confirmed that she was not a licensed dentist.

Authorities arrested “Jaja” just as she was about to install braces on the undercover officer.

During the raid, police confiscated dental tools and materials that were found to be substandard.

Police also consulted professional dentists, who confirmed that dental procedures must be conducted in licensed clinics under strict hygiene conditions.
