Relatives of individuals allegedly killed in extrajudicial executions during the presidency of former President Rodrigo Duterte have expressed their sentiments following his arrest.

In a report by GMA News, they pointed out that Duterte is fortunate to have due process, something their slain loved ones never had.

Emily Soriano, the mother of Angelito, a 16-year-old alleged victim of extrajudicial killing (EJK), stressed that accountability should extend beyond Duterte.

"Hindi po ako kuntento na si Duterte lang po 'yung mananagot, dapat po lahat po ng kasangkot ni Duterte... Buti pa si Duterte may due process, 'yung mga anak ko na pinaslang, 'yung anak ko, wala pong due process," she stated.

Another relative conveyed a direct message to the former president, underscoring the irreversible loss suffered by the victims' families.

"Sana huwag ka nang mag-inarte, pangulo, kasi lahat ng pinatay mo, hindi na mabubuhay. Hindi na mabibigyan ng magandang kinabukasan ang kanilang mga anak na iniwan nila. Kung ano man 'yung nararanasan mo ngayon na hirap na sinasabi ng mga anak mo, naranasan din naming 'yan. Mas higit pa."

The families continue to demand justice, asserting that those responsible for the deaths of their loved ones should be held accountable.

While Duterte’s arrest marks a significant development, the victims’ relatives believe true justice will only be served when all involved are made answerable.

The stabbing incident was committed on March 02, 2025; the victim was identified as Alvin Dulos, 51 years old. As reported in TV 5's 'Frontline Pilipinas,' the suspect, Jason Dalayon, was resting on a hammock when he saw the victim and called him. That's when the suspect stabbed the victim, multiple times; as reported, the victim sustained a total of 13 stab wounds.
