CIDG Director Torre, nag-react sa mensahe ni Bato dela Rosa ukol sa pagpapakalasing sa power

- CIDG Director PMGen. Nicolas Torre III was a guest of Ted Failon and DJ Chacha's show

- He was asked by Ted about the statements made by Sen. Bato Dela Rosa, where the latter was saying that Torre must not get drunk with power

- In his response, he said that what the senator was saying was correct, and that he would never do such a thing

- He also emphasized that that is the reason why he makes sure that everything they do is within the bounds of law and legal

CIDG Director PMGen. Nicolas Torre III appeared on Ted Failon and DJ Chacha's radio show, where he addressed recent comments made by Senator Bato Dela Rosa.

Ted asked Torre about Dela Rosa’s statement that Torre should not "get drunk with power."

In response, Torre agreed with the senator’s point and emphasized that he would never behave in such a way.

"Sabi niya, huwag daw ho kayong magpakalasing sa power," Ted said.

He added that Dela Rosa is saying that Torre is acting that way because he is in power, but eventually, this power would not exist anymore.

"I have high regards for Sen. Bato Dela Rosa ano, at ang kanyang sinabi naman ay tama ah. Hindi naman talaga kahit kalian, kahit saan at Kahit sino hinid naman talaga dapat na magpakalasing sa power. That's the reason why I'm making sure that everything I do is within the bounds of the law. Kaya sinisiguro ko na itong mga aksyon na ginawa ko ay talagang naaayon sa batas," Torre stated.
"Hinding-hindi ko sasabihin baling araw pag nagkakaimbestigahan na na 'I invoke my right to remain silent' or 'I invoke my right against self-incrimination,'" he added.
"Hindi ko gagawin yan sapagkat ang aking ginagawa a ngayon ay alam kong legal, na naaayon sa batas na pwedeng eksaminin, imbestigahan, kahit kailan, Kahit saan, Kahit sino man ang nakaupong president. Sapagkat, ito ay legal," Torre noted.

In a video shared by GMA News, CIDG chief, Police Major General Nicolas Torre III, is seen reciting the Miranda Doctrine to the former president. The reading of the Miranda rights is a standard procedure for persons being arrested to ensure that the latter fully understands their rights upon their arrest. It can be recalled that the International Police (InterPol) has confirmed the issuance of the arrest warrant by the International Criminal Court against the former president.
