A disturbing incident in Cebu City has left a 71-year-old lawyer hospitalized after an alleged assault by his domestic helper.

The alleged incident, which unfolded on the morning of March 13th in Barangay Suba, has sent shockwaves through the local community, raising concerns about the safety of elderly individuals and the dynamics within domestic settings.

Atty. Martin Miro, a resident of Tupas Street, Barangay Suba, Cebu City, was allegedly the victim of a physical altercation with his 52-year-old househelper, Vilma Ybañez Aying, who hailed from Lower Matim-ao, Carmen, Cebu.

The supposed altercation resulted in Atty. Miro allegedly sustaining bruises and wounds, necessitating immediate medical attention.
