Senator Bong Go was seen attempting to deliver pizza to former President Rodrigo Duterte, who is currently detained at Villamor Air Base following his arrest by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for alleged crimes against humanity.

A video shared by Rappler captured the senator outside Gate 5 of the facility, trying to coordinate the delivery of food to Duterte.

He stated that the former president’s camp had been calling him multiple times, saying they were already hungry.

Media personnel surrounded Go as he made the delivery attempt, with some reporters asking him about Duterte’s current condition.

In the video, the senator could be heard speaking to Kitty Duterte, the former president’s daughter, informing her that he was at the gate and requesting her to personally retrieve the pizza so it could be brought inside.

Go, a longtime ally and close aide of Duterte, has been vocal in his support of the former president since his arrest.

His attempt to send food highlights his continuous presence and concern for Duterte’s well-being despite the ongoing legal proceedings.

Duterte’s arrest, issued by the ICC for alleged crimes linked to his war on dr&gs, has sparked intense reactions both locally and internationally.

The senator’s pizza delivery attempt has since gone viral, drawing mixed reactions from the public.

The new Vice President of the Philippines is VP Sara Duterte, the daughter of former president Rodrigo Duterte.

Earlier today, a video showing former President Rodrigo Duterte’s longtime partner, Honeylet Avanceña, seemingly trying to prevent the former leader from being taken into custody has gone viral. The video, which was posted on the social media page of their daughter, Veronica or Kitty Duterte and shared by ABS-CBN news on its own page, has since then gone viral. The said video also captured snippets of conversations between Avanceña and the former leader. As of this writing, the video has gained 1.2 million views with 5.4K comments and 29K reacts.

A much earlier report stated that former President Rodrigo Duterte was arrested for crimes against humanity, pursuant to an arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC). Malacañang has released a statement on the matter, delineating the series of events immediately prior to the former president's arrest. In the Palace's statement, as shared by GMA News, the former President and his group are in good health and that they are in good condition. Officers of the PNP who effected the warrant of arrest were also equipped with body cameras, as per the statement of Malacañang.
