According to a report by Emil Sumangil on GMA News 24 Oras on Friday, three people were injured in the incident but are now in stable condition as a result of the suspect's gunfire.

Moments later, another man pushed the suspect, and someone punched him while throwing a helmet at him.

A commotion ensued, culminating in the suspect pulling out a gun and firing shots. He fled the scene on a motorcycle.

Less than 24 hours later, authorities tracked him down.

The suspect defended his actions, stating that he was simply protecting his son from his attackers.

"Bilang ama kaya ko po nagawa iyon," the suspect explained, adding that those who hurt his son would face charges.

There is an election gun ban at the moment and under Philippine laws, firing a gun is a crime, that would make one answerable to the law.

As reported in TV 5's 'Frontline Pilipinas,' the suspect, Jason Dalayon, was resting on a hammock when he saw the victim and called him. That's when the suspect stabbed the victim, multiple times; as reported, the victim sustained a total of 13 stab wounds.
