A 58-year-old father was arrested at his home in Barangay Holy Spirit, Quezon City.

He was nabbed for allegedly molesting his own daughter, a 14-year-old girl. The suspect allegedly touched the sensitive parts of his child and abused her.

According to a report by GMA 7's 'Unang Balita,' the victim screamed for help while the crime was taking place, and her cries were heard by her sister.

"Ayon sa salaysay ng biktima na assisted by her mother, ito pong accused tinatawag niya 'yung anak niya sa room ng bahay nila...Nu'ng pumasok siya sa room, doon sinimulan na po siyang hipuan sa maseselan na bahagi ng kaniyang katawan," said PCPT. Febie Madrid, Spokesperson of Quezon City Police District.

"Pumasok din 'yung ate niya sa room at agad siyang sinaklolohan and 'yung time na 'yun, saka siya nakatakbo. Pagkatapos noon, sinalaysay na niya sa kaniyang mother ang pangyayari," Madrid added.

They immediately reported the incident to the police authorities.

The alleged suspect's warrant of arrest was released on October 2024 and he was arrested last Monday.

He refused to issue any statement about the case as advised by his lawyer. The suspect will be charged with acts of lasciviousness and violation of the Anti Child Abuse Law.
