A dead fetus was discovered on the sidewalk along Kalayaan Avenue in Makati City.

CCTV footage captured a vehicle stopping in the area, where two individuals got out.

According to a report by Connie Sison on GMA 7's 'Balitanghali,' the footage did not clearly show what the two individuals were doing.

A scrap collector who witnessed the scene initially thought that one of the individuals was intoxicated.

However, when he returned to the area, that was when the scrap collector discovered the dead fetus.

The scrap collector immediately reported the incident to the authorities.

According to the police authorities, the fetus was around five to six months old.

They are now looking for the two individuals caught on CCTV. Once caught and proven they have something to do with the abandonment of the dead fetus, they will be charged accordingly.

In the Philippines, abandoning a dead fetus can result in legal consequences, including charges of abandonment under the Revised Penal Code.

This act may also be considered neglect or child abuse, especially if the fetus is abandoned by its mother or caregiver, violating the Anti-Child Abuse Law.

Medical professionals who fail to properly manage the remains of a dead fetus may face charges of professional misconduct or negligence.

Authorities would investigate the situation, and if deliberate abandonment or gross negligence is found, the responsible parties may face severe penalties.
