She later learned that her neighbor was allegedly responsible for their deaths.

“Kung nagkasala ang aso namin, sana sinabi nila sa amin. Nagpunta sana sila sa barangay,” she said.

Bulacan stated that while some chickens did die, she was unsure if her dogs were responsible, as the area is open. The neighbor, however, has not specified how many chickens were lost.

The Animal Kingdom Foundation (AKF) strongly condemned the act.

“This is very cruel. We condemn this act of cruelty… Bawal ito sa ating batas and siyempre, napaka-immoral naman nito,” said AKF Program Director Atty. Heidi Marquez-Caguioa.

AKF announced an investigation to hold those responsible accountable.

The organization also reminded pet owners to be responsible for their animals to prevent conflicts with other pets or livestock.

The neighbor accused of poisoning the dogs has not yet issued a statement.
