"That time po kasi, sunod-sunod, may dalawa pa kaming defense sa major subjects namin. And then sunod-sunod 'yung day ng defense namin. And then sobrang dami ko pong ginagawa," Jennifer recalled.
She had been dealing with academic stress on her own for nearly three months before the incident.

A video showed Jennifer in the hospital, gasping for air while breathing into a paper bag to regulate her breathing.
"Noong una kong naramdaman that time, sobrang naninikip 'yung dibdib ko, hindi ako makahinga nang maayos," she shared.
"Siguro rin po dahil sa sobrang pagod that time, that's why inatake. First time ko rin po 'yun na ganoon kalala 'yung anxiety attack ko," she added.
A medical expert confirmed that Jennifer had suffered an anxiety attack, explaining that school-related stress is a major trigger for students.
"Based sa experience namin, number one cause especially sa mga nag-aaral ay school activities. 'Yung pressure sa school tulad ng pakiramdam na sila ay babagsak sa eskuwelahan ay pinaka-number one stressor na kinahaharap nila," said Dr. Vincent Manuel, doctor of internal medicine-mental health and adult cardiology.
Now, Jennifer is managing her stress better.
"'Yung stress naman sa acads, hindi naman talaga nawawala 'yun. Pero sa ngayon kasi, mas manageable na 'yung stress compared noong last, last sem," she said.
Dr. Manuel emphasized the importance of a healthy lifestyle, proper sleep, and seeking support from trusted individuals or professionals to effectively cope with anxiety.
