Hajji Alejandro, a music icon in the Philippine industry, has been confined to the hospital after his cancer spread to other parts of his body.

On Friday, February 28, a video of Hajji at the hospital was shared and uploaded by Arnold Clavio on his main Instagram page, @akosiigan.

In the now-viral video, Hajji could be seen laying on the hospital bed, with his mother beside him, giving him several comforting arm rubs.

According to Arnold, the Filipino music icon had Stage 4 Colon Cancer and that unfortunately, it already spread to other parts of his body.

"Prayers for our music icon, HAJJI ALEJANDRO. He had Colon Cancer Stage 4 and [it] spread to his lungs and liver. Nothing is impossible with prayers. Beside [him] is his mom. Healing prayers sent," Arnold wrote on his now-viral post.

In the comment section, many netizens expressed their sadness over the viral video of Hajji and his mother trying to comfort him recently.

"Can't imagine how painful it is for the mom to see her son like this… prayers for both of them and the family," one netizen wrote in the post.

The Megastar, Sharon Cuneta, also reacted to the video and expressed her disbelief also, "Oh my gosh… not Hajji… icon siya… Prayers for sure."

Needless to say, many have expressed their concerns for Hajji and are hoping he gets better soon.

Angelito, or Hajji, who is known for his hits like Kay Ganda ng Ating Musika and Nakapagtataka, was a major pop star in the 1970s and 1980s.
