“Natulog 'yung bata sa bahay nitong suspek at doon nangyari 'yung pangmo-molestiya. And the next morning, nag-report itong bata sa kaniyang mga magulang. And ‘yun, na-file-an ng kaso itong suspek,” stated Police Colonel Felipe Maraggun, Provincial Director of the Rizal Provincial Police Office.
The suspect admitted to having had carnal encounters with the victim on three occasions but insisted that they were consensual, citing a supposed romantic relationship.
He claimed they had been in a relationship for a month and had met online.
Police records reveal that this is not the suspect's first run-in with the law.
He has a prior record of similar abuse and grave threat charges, also in Baras, Rizal. In that previous case, the victim was a 10-year-old boy, according to police.
In response to the previous grave threat charge, the suspect claimed, “Ang unang kaso ko, pagbabanta lang po ‘yun.
The accused is currently detained at the custodial facility of the Antipolo Component City Police Station.
