A man was robbed while asleep on a chair outside a store in a disturbing incident caught on camera.

According to footage shared by Balitanghali of GMA News, the victim had fallen asleep on the sidewalk, unaware of the danger nearby.
A tricycle driver, passing by the area, spotted the sleeping man.
The driver immediately pulled over and, in a calculated move, approached the victim without drawing attention.

Slowly and carefully, the thief reached for the man’s wallet, which contained P5,000, before fleeing the scene.
The robbery, carried out in broad daylight, was captured on CCTV, providing key evidence in identifying the suspect.
Later, when the victim was interviewed, he shared that the money stolen was intended for the purchase of a pedicab, which he needed for work.
This incident highlights the vulnerability of people in public spaces and serves as a reminder of the importance of staying alert, even in familiar settings.
One netizen expressed sympathy towards the victim.
