A group of fishermen in Maybato Norte, San Jose de Buenavista, Antique, was shocked by their unexpected catch.
It was a massive fish related to the Lapu-Lapu, locally known as "Pugaro."
According to a report by Jessica Soho on 'KMJS,' the fish measured seven feet long and weighed 147 kilograms.
It took several grown men and a makeshift wooden carrying device to lift and transport the enormous fish.

The group of fishermen led by Paulo Ciriaco, caught the fish along the sea waters covered by the Cuyo Island in Palawan.
When they caught the giant Pugaro, it took 5 men just to load it onto their fishing boat. According to one of Paulo's companions, it took them about an hour to catch the big fish.
It wasn't actually the first time that a giant Pugaro was caught in Antique.
Back in 2022, a giant Pugaro weighing over 200 kilograms was caught. Another one weighing 136 kilograms was caught November of last year.
They were able to sell the giant Pugaro to their frequent buyer named Meriel Gan for P19,000. Gan, on the other hand, managed to sell it to another buyer for P200 per kilogram.

According to the police, the body was in fetal position, clothes were intact, but wounds were found on her body.
