A 4-year-old girl named Aliyah was injured while she was with her parents at a mall in Pasay.
The young girl’s left foot got caught in an escalator, causing injuries.
In an interview on TV5’s news program 'Frontline Tonight,' the girl's mother shared that her child's slippers were the first to get stuck before her foot was pulled in.
Mall employees immediately rushed her to the hospital for urgent medical attention.

"'Yung time na po 'nun, wala na akong maalala sa paligid ko po eh, kundi humingi ng tulong. Kasi napakasakit sa'kin 'nung nangyari 'yun sa anak ko. Iniisip ko na nga lang lagi, sana sa'kin na lang nangyari," said Einna Estrella, Aliyah's mother.
According to the mother of the victim, the incident seemed to have traumatized their daughter. She would cry when going on an escalator and cry when she lay down on the bed, thinking about the incident and being in a hospital bed.
It can be recalled that in a cellphone video, a mother can be heard screaming for help as her two-year-old daughter's foot got caught in an escalator. The accident happened inside a mall in Lipa City, Batangas. The poor little girl can also be heard crying in pain while mall goers watched in shock.
