A man was fatally shot after challenging another person to a fight in Himamaylan, Negros Occidental.

The incident took place on February 22 in Purok 1, Hacienda Paco, Barangay Aguisan, as reported by iFM Bacolod 943.
The victim was identified as one named alias "Julius," while the suspect was identified as 43-year-old alias "Danny," who was a fisherman.
According to police investigations, the suspect was preparing his lunch when the victim approached him and provoked a confrontation.

The suspect, instead of engaging in a physical fight, went inside his room and retrieved an improvised firearm.
He then shot the victim twice—once in the chest and once in the back—causing severe injuries.
The victim was brought to the hospital.
However, doctors declared him dead on arrival due to the severity of his wounds.
The suspect was apprehended by authorities although it was not clear if residents helped in locating the suspect or not.

When police authorities came to inspect what was inside the suitcase, they found a bloated body of a minor girl. According to the police, the body was in fetal position, clothes were intact, but wounds were found on her body.
