If a person's foot gets sucked into an escalator inside a mall in the Philippines, determining fault depends on several factors.
The mall could be held responsible if there was negligence, such as poor maintenance, lack of warning signs, or a known issue that was not addressed. If the escalator was defective, the manufacturer or maintenance provider might also be liable.
However, if the accident happened due to the person's own actions, like improper footwear or reckless behavior, then the mall may not be at fault.
Each case would need to be investigated to determine responsibility, and legal action could be taken if negligence is proven.
