According to the police investigations, the suspect was the company's driver-messenger since 2022.

The owner of the company was puzzled because his toy collection went missing.

As it turned out, after reviewing the CCTV footage, the culprit was his driver-messenger.

The incident was reported to Cainta Police since the man no longer reported to work after the discovery of the crime he committed.

He can be charged with qualified theft.

Meanwhile, according to police, it's possible the toy collection has already been sold. That's why the police have a stern warning to those who might be a buyer of the stolen toys, they could be charged with anti-fencing.

In the Philippines, anti-fencing refers to laws that prevent and punish the act of buying, selling, possessing, or dealing with stolen goods. The main law covering this is Presidential Decree No. 1612, also known as the Anti-Fencing Law of 1979.

Under this law, anyone who knowingly buys or handles stolen items may be charged with fencing, which is a crime. The punishment includes imprisonment and fines, depending on the value of the stolen goods. Even if a person claims they did not know the items were stolen, the law assumes they are aware if the price is too low or if they fail to check where the goods came from.

The goal of the law is to discourage people from supporting theft by making it illegal to profit from stolen property.
