A teacher was injured and taken to the hospital after his wife allegedly shot and killed a police officer in Valladolid, Negros Occidental.

In a report by GMA News Unang Balita on Friday, Police Captain Benifacio Galvez. Jr., Deputy Chief of the Valladolid MPS, said that investigation revealed that the suspect was allegedly drunk when the incident occurred.
"Hinawakan niya ang kaniyang firearm, itinutok ang baril sa kaniyang asawa, ipinutok niya at tinamaan ang kaniyang asawa," Galvez said.
According to the victim, his wife was no longer recognizable due to his intoxication.

It was reported that the suspect was reportedly unconscious after shooting his wife.
The suspect did not give a statement, according to the report.
Earlier, it was also reported that the wife was determined to file a complaint against her husband. However, according to GMA Regional TV One Western Visayas on Friday night, the police said that the victim had changed her mind and would not file a complaint against her husband.
However, the authorities will continue to file an administrative complaint against their colleague.

Still in other news, a family of three almost met a tragic end when the motorcycle they’re riding in fell down when a dog crossed its path. GMA Regional News shared a CCTV footage from an establishment nearby captured the incident. In the footage, one can see the motorcycle carrying the rider, a woman and a child traversing the designated motorcycle lane. All of a sudden, a dog crossed their path, sending all three of them tumbling down with one narrowly missed by the tires of a passing SUV.
