Based on the report of Balitanghali of GMA News, the they initially were arguing about something, but later on, it turned into a heated exchange, which led to the stabbing of the old man.

According to the relatives of both the victim and the suspect, the two would always have an argument, especially if the suspect is drunk.

The other children of the victim are determined to pursue a case against the suspect.

The report noted that the suspect regretted having stabbed his father.

In a separate incident, motorists were horrified when they witnessed a brutal stabbing incident involving a habal-habal driver in Barangay Kinasang-an Pardo, Cebu City, early Saturday morning.

The incident was reported by Alan Domingo of GMA Regional TV during "24 Oras Weekend" on Sunday.

Footage captured by a bystander showed the suspect pinning the victim to the ground in the middle of the road while repeatedly swinging a knife.

The disturbing scene left witnesses in shock as they watched the altercation unfold.

According to the police investigation, the 33-year-old victim was waiting for a passenger when the suspect suddenly approached and took a picture of him using his cellphone.

The victim got angry, and refused, which eventually led to the stabbing.
