A 35-year-old construction worker who is the Top 1 Most Wanted Person in the Manila Police District and the Top 4 Most Wanted at the Regional Level was arrested for murder on Monday, past eleven in the morning in Tondo, Manila.

According to Police Lieutenant Ferdinand Omli, Chief of Intelligence Operations and Warrant Section of Delpan Police Station, the crime occurred on April 16, 2024 in Barangay 123 in Manila.
"Based on what our suspect said, his wife has been missing several times with this man and someone told him that he was going to the man's house. So he went to him, and found him inside his room using dr*gs," said Police Lieutenant Omli.
"This suspect of ours has two children with that woman. So in his anger, he beat this man until he lost consciousness," he added.

The 60-year-old victim was taken to the hospital with injuries in various parts of the body but could not be saved.
The victim's family filed a complaint, but the accused did not appear at the hearings.
"He hid in the Pasay area, he entered as a stay-in so he wouldn't go out and work there. But with the help of our community and barangay, we found out that he comes home after taking his clothes and doing laundry," said Police Lieutenant Omli.

After receiving a tip that the accused was in Tondo, the authorities immediately searched for him until he was arrested.
The suspect insisted that his wife and the victim had a relationship.
"A lot of people said it. I didn't believe it... for a man that hurts. But I'm not really a bad person," said the accused.
He said he was punching the man to teach him a lesson.
After the incident, he and his wife reportedly separated, and his eight and eleven-year-old children were left in the care of his relative.
The accused is now in the custody of the Delpan Police Station and is facing a charge of murder.
