In a report by Pia Arcangel in GMA 7's 'SAKSI,' the victim's stepbrother was later nabbed by the arresting officers in Basud, Camarines Norte.
According to reports, the victim was working there as a helper on a farm.
The suspect refused to give any statement about the case.

It's the same kidnap-slay crime committed against Ruby Rose Barrameda in 2007 and as it turned out, the alleged mastermind behind the two crimes was believed to be the same person.
