Frontline shared a CCTV footage of the incident, and it showed that they were already being followed by two men.

One of the assailants held the son with a knife while the mother ran and shouted for help, calling her husband.

IN an interview, the mother said that when she saw blood dripping from the neck of her son, she knew that she could not fight them off and instinctively ran and sought help.

The two suspects ran off together with the two cellular phones that they took from the son.

A follow-up operation led to the arrest of one of the suspects, who also happened to have a previous record for robbery, according to PNP.
