- A taxi driver from Baguio City hit some pedestrian lane crossers, including a couple of students

- CCTV footage showed the busy road when, all of a sudden, a taxi sped and hit the people crossing the pedestrian lane

- Some of the victims were thrown; one of them was even close to being run over on his head by the taxi

- According to the initial investigation of the Baguio City Police, the 66-year-old taxi driver accidentally stepped on the accelerator of his vehicle

In a report by 'Frontline Pilipinas,' the driver admitted he wasn't able to hit the brakes immediately after the incident.

One of the victims sustained a serious head injury, while the other four victims were already discharged from the hospital.

Police authorities, however, didn't arrest the driver right away, but they confiscated his driver's license.

The victims reportedly are still deciding whether they'd file a complaint or not.

In another viral local report, a businessman kidnapped in Quezon City was found dead in San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan. In an interview with 24-Oras, one of the suspects admitted the victim was strangled and had a cellophane wrapped around his face. Afterwards, the killed businessman was put inside a water drum, and buried in San Jose Del Monte. It's the same kidnap-slay crime committed against Ruby Rose Barrameda in 2007 and as it turned out, the alleged mastermind behind the two crimes was believed to be the same person.
