A 51-year-old woman from Bacolod City was shot dead by a suspect allegedly for gossiping about the lovelife of the suspect.

A report on GMA News noted that the victim and the suspect had long felt animosity towards each other allegedly because of the stories that the victim was spreading about the suspect, particularly pertaining to the latter's love life.

The victim allegedly also informed the live-in partner of the suspect located abroad about the alleged womanizing activities of the suspect.

The suspect immediately fled and authorities are now searching for him.

In other news, a traffic enforcer was almost ran down by a motorist after the latter was called out for a traffic violation. According to GMA News, the traffic enforcer wanted to issue a ticket for illegal turn. However, instead of stopping, the driver kept on moving forward although the enforcer was already in front. It then continued to move forward and escaped.

Meanwhile, a man was arrested after he stole a crown that belongs to a statue of Mama Mary from the church. According to the GMA Regional TV, the suspect also took the chalice and the money from the donation box. He also said that he was tasked by Mama Mary to do what he did. It was later found that the suspect already had previous records.
