A businessman who was kidnapped in Quezon City was found dead in San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan.
In an interview with *24-Oras*, one of the suspects confessed that the victim was strangled and his face was wrapped in plastic.
Afterward, the victim's body was placed inside a water drum and buried in SJDM.
The crime is similar to what happened to Ruby Rose Barrameda in 2007, and authorities believe the alleged mastermind behind both cases is the same person.

According to a report by 24-Oras, QCPD CIDU said the suspects pretended they were buying 'tilapia' from the victim.
Initially, the businessman was taken to Calauan, Laguna on January 05, 2025.
In a follow-up operation, the alleged mastermind was later on arrested. Police also said the motive was all about issues with some land titles.
The sister of Ruby Rose Barrameda, Rochell, also came to QCPD and identified the alleged mastermind behind the killing of her sister back in 2007.
The alleged mastermind along with his legal counsel declined to issue their statement about the issue.
