Arnold Clavio has taken to social media to rant about the first text message he received in 2025.

In a post on his Instagram page, @akosiigan, the Kapuso news anchor shared a screenshot of the message, which was apparently sent by a scammer.

“Your package could not be delivered on 31/12/24 because customs fees (3.57 PHP P) have not been paid. Follow the instructions,” the message reads.

In the caption, Igan penned his lengthy reaction to the text scam.

“Talaga ? Unang araw ng 2025, ang unang text message na natanggap ko ay hindi new year’s greetings kundi text scam?” he lamented.

He also blunty expressed, “Pagdilat ko, ito agad ang bumulaga sa akin !!! Akala ko ba, sa dami at ingay ng paputok kanina eh nataboy ang masasamang espiritu???!!!”

The veteran broadcast journalist went on to pen a fiery message to scammers.

“Magbago na kayo. Tigilan ninyo na ang panloloko sa tao at pagnanakaw ng pinaghirapan nila. Mga TAMAD!!!”

In the video, the ousted mayor could be seen cheerfully dancing with some individuals on stage. The said video was taken at an event during the Bamban Festival last January. Meanwhile, the Kapuso news anchor penned a short yet catchy caption. “EHEM!” the veteran journalist wrote along with heart emojis.
