A 13-year-old girl’s left hand was seriously injured after a firecracker called "5 Star" exploded in her hand.

In an interview with 24 Oras on GMA 7, the girl’s mother shared that her daughter lit the firecracker herself.

When she tried to throw it away, it stuck to her hand and exploded.

The mother also revealed that her daughter admitted to being under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.

According to her doctor, her left hand was badly injured and 2 of her fingers need to be amputated.
