A man from Barangay Bagumbayan, Taguig City, was arrested after allegedly causing trouble.
In a report by ABS-CBN's 'TV Patrol,' according to the Southern Police District, the man reportedly asked his live-in partner for money to buy alcohol, but she refused.
He then hurt his live-in partner, who quickly reported the incident to the barangay.
When responders arrived, instead of surrendering peacefully, the man took his live-in partner and four minor children as hostages.

After 4 hours of negotiation, the man eventually surrendered. Thankfully, no one was hurt from the hostage-taking incident.
The suspect is now in the custody of the Taguig police and will face complaints for illegal detention, direct assault, alarms and scandals, and illegal possession of a bladed weapon.
