An OFW who worked in Malaysia for seven years and who has not come home all those years got the chance to be with her family this Christmas after she was gifted with a plane ticket by her employer.

In GMA Regional TV's report, Thanie Amoyo Golimlim said that she did not expect that she would receive such a gift on her birthday.

She then planned for her flight back home and did not tell her family about it except for an aunt.

When she arrived home, she was met with hugs, and tears, with her mother not ever wanting to let go.

"Masaya talaga ako na kahit ngayon Pasko lang kami nagkita sa tagal ng panahon. Abot-langit ang aking tuwa nang dumating siya," said Nanay Deocelyn, the mother of Thanie.
"Hindi importante ang mga handa, ang importante mabuo ang pamilya, masaya," she added.
