A 17-year-old was hacked to death over an alleged exchange of jokes after a Christmas party.

The report on "24 Oras" revealed that the suspect was no other than the victim's own brother-in-law.

Relatives of the victim discovered his amputated hand in their house.

Based on the report of the police, the suspect and the victim went home after attending a Christmas party.

“Nagkaroon ng pagtatalo, nauwi sa hindi maganda, nataga nga nung suspect 'yung biktima at may tama rin ng saksak,” P/Captain Alnor de Vera Tagara, chief of the Investigation and Operation Section of the Antipolo Component City Police Station, stated.

The victim was also stabbed at the back, on his head and chest.

He also was able to narrate the incident and mentioned the suspect to his mother before he was brought to the hospital where he was declared DOA.

The uncle of the victim said that the latter joked with the suspect "tagain kita diyan eh" when they were already on their way home.

However, the suspect took it not as a joke and retaliated immediately.
